Big Sam vs Bilic

I haven't posted on here in years, even after some totally abysmal performances under big Sam, but so far under Bilic we have thrown away a two goal lead, which in effect we are three - two down due to the away goal, and we have already checked in the towel and given up on the cup game by taking the kids out to play in Europe.
The excuse is that we are focusing more on the premier league game on Sunday, away, against arsenal, who have looked very impressive in pre season and they have even just beaten Chelsea this Sunday.
Is it worth giving up on Europe, when it will bring in plenty of extra money, especially if we get to the group stage just for one poxy premier league game, which we have no hope of winning?!

Comparing Bilic to that fat wanker after so few games is staggering,perhaps you forgot about the Forest game? amongst all the other dross.

I think Sam is the better manager but we've made a change, it was the right time for a change and we need to get behind the manager and see how he does. A few preseason and pointless qualifiers aren't a fair period to pass judgement. Just let us get to Xmas and see where we are at and what we have seen.

Jesus the mind boggles. Deano engage your brain before putting your thoughts down for everyone to read. Do you honestly think that we're giving up on Europe just so we stand a better chance in 'one' game????
If you think we're giving up on Europe have you not thought that it might be because if we happen to progress then for every Europa league game there's another 'one' game after that in quick succession. If we don't have a strong enough squad and we don't get results from all of those 'one' games combined we'll be a little bit fucked don't you think?

The idea that the group stages of Europe bring in anything more than a negligible profit is wrong. There is very little money in the EL. (Unless you win it, which gets you into the Champions League).

Unless we are planning to go back to Allardyce in the near future, I say why compare. Look forward.
Whatever I thought of the manager, I hope Bilic has his own goals and plans that do not involved comparing his progress to stuff in the past.

The fact that we played shit for half a season after sitting in the top four on Christmas day, pussy footing around just to qualify for the damn thing, then to just give the ting up pisses me right off.

I admit that backed Allardyce until it was impossible to do so after our absymal 2nd half last season. But he didnt help himself due to his arrogance and ear cupping.
I was underwhelmed with the appointment of Bilic but could understand that he would lift the club and play a more exciting brand of football. Even though i questioned club level CV and he wouldnt have been my choice, he is here now and like all managers and players you should get behind them and wish them well.
It is far too early to have this debate. Its unfair to gey on his back. He needs time to implement his ideas. So get behind the guy and lets hope he proves the doubters like me wrong.
